The China Food Industry Enterprise Blockchain Alliance Service Platform has gone live, marking a global first in the food industry. Recently, the China Food Industry Blockchain Alliance launched its online service portal in Hangzhou, aiming to enhance food safety traceability and support the development of the Chinese food industry's credit system.
Established in June 2017, the China Food Industry Blockchain Alliance has played a key role in advancing the country’s “four most stringent†approach to food safety, giving consumers greater confidence when shopping. With this new platform, what major changes can we expect for the food industry?
First, by leveraging the unique features of blockchain technology, the platform ensures that business data is secure, standardized, compliant, and tamper-proof. This fosters a system of mutual trust, significantly improving coordination across the entire food supply chain.
Second, the integration of blockchain with traceability, anti-counterfeiting, and online marketing technologies will drive comprehensive improvements in management, business models, and industrial upgrades within the food sector.
Third, the platform represents a new milestone in China’s food safety traceability system, as well as in the construction of the national food industry credit system.
Fourth, using blockchain technology can help reduce costs and improve efficiency, reshaping the marketing and service models of the Chinese food industry.
Finally, the national food industry enterprise blockchain alliance service portal was officially launched by Ziyun, a company listed on the New Third Board. The initiative was led by the China Food Industry Association, along with Henan Ziyun Cloud Computing Co., Ltd., United Shuanghui Logistics, Missing Food, China Food Group, Zhengda (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Qianwei Central Kitchen, and 20 other member companies. This marks the world’s first blockchain-based service platform specifically for the food industry.
