Sanan Optoelectronics won the first place in the middle of 2015 with a government subsidy of 295 million yuan

The year is approaching. For listed companies, the government's "red envelope" can be described as a big gift. Those government grants that have increased their performance can turn a profit at a critical moment, saving a large number of companies that should have worn their hats and even delisted.

As of mid-2015, 187 of the 203 A-share listed companies in the three central provinces (Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi) received government subsidies. Among them, since 2012, Sanan Optoelectronics, which has received government subsidies for four consecutive years, received a government subsidy of 295 million yuan in the middle of 2015, ranking first.

In fact, eating subsidies has become a normal state. For three consecutive years from 2012 to 2014, 190 of the 203 listed companies in the three provinces received different amounts of government subsidies for three consecutive years.

It cannot be denied that, to a certain extent, government subsidies can even determine the life and death of a company. According to the statistics of Changjiang Business Daily reporters, from 2012 to 2014, if the government subsidies were removed, there were 16 companies in the three central provinces, which had suffered losses for three consecutive years. That is to say, if there is no government subsidy, these 16 companies may have withdrawn from the market.

For the ST company that has already been "wearing a star to wear a hat", the government subsidy can be described as a charcoal in the snow, and even ST can turn a profit and save the shell. In 2013, the listed company in Hunan, which has been uncapped, has achieved a government subsidy of 171 million yuan in the year of its successful undressing and turning losses into profits. In the same period, its profit was only 23.21 million yuan.

On January 8, Liu Junhai, director of the Institute of Commercial Law of Renmin University of China, pointed out that listed companies are mostly local taxpayers. Local governments continue to “transfer blood” to listed companies because of their political achievements, or they are protective shell resources for financing. In fact, listed companies, non-listed companies, private enterprises, state-owned enterprises, and mixed-ownership enterprises have equal status and should enjoy the right to common development.
