TE Connectivity (TE) today announced the availability of the new Orthogonal Cable STRADA Whisper backplane connector. The industry's first right-angle cable backplane connector for connecting graphics processing units (GPUs) and switches or server processors, saving valuable space for switches and servers, enabling designers to use right-angle cables in the chassis Designed to increase design flexibility.
The new right-angle cable STRADA Whisper connector provides system architecture engineers with more options when designing high-density applications such as artificial intelligence (AI) data centers. This connector continues the leading electrical and signal integrity (SI) performance of the STRADA Whisper family of products with data rates up to 56 Gbps PAM-4 and will scale to 112 Gbps PAM-4 in the future.
