Due to economic, security, and necessity issues, some power experts have expressed their resolute disagreement on the exchange of UHV, making its future development less smooth than DC UHV, and the entire outlook has become somewhat confusing. Some experts questioned the "success" of the southeastern Shanxi-Jingmen project. Other experts believe that the "Sanhua Synchronous Power Grid" connected through UHV AC grids will be very unsafe and uneconomical. According to industry insiders, compared with smart grids, the government has appeared to be a bit "humiliated" in the development of exchanges of UHV. In the government work report of the past two years, the smart grid has been repeatedly mentioned, but it is also regarded as a huge investment. The high pressure has not been mentioned. It can be seen that high-level officials are cautious about developing the U.S. high pressure.
