Today, IC Design OEM Co., Ltd., VeriSilicon Corp. (Chihara) announced the addition of a High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) Main 10 Profile decoding IP for Hantro Video IP, and also added AVS+ decoding IP to Hantro Video IP to support China's HDTV and 3D TV market.
The HEVC Main 10 Profile has now been added to the Hantro G2 multi-format video decoding IP. The Hantro G2 is the industry's first single-core architecture supporting 4K@60 frames and supports both HEVC and VP9 video formats. The industry-leading Hantro video IP has been deployed in hundreds of millions of chips for more than 90 semiconductor manufacturers worldwide, and the Hantro G2 is the 13th generation of Hantro's video IP.

Broadcasters around the world have announced 4K plans based on the HEVC Main 10 Profile. VeriSilicon also announced support for AVS+. AVS+ is China's second-generation video standard for high-definition television and 3D TV broadcasting services. It was approved as China's national standard in July 2012. The Hantro G1 multi-format video decoder has now added support for AVS+.
