Sony TGS Conference to Add VR Music and VR Video Display

The Tokyo Game Show 2017 (TGS) is set to take place at the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Center in Chiba, Japan, from September 21st to 24th. Ahead of the main event, Sony hosted a special pre-show conference on the afternoon of September 19th. During the presentation, the company revealed its plans to showcase not only its VR headsets but also its expanding efforts in music and video content, including groundbreaking VR experiences such as VR Music, VR Digital Cinema, and VR News.

One of the highlights was the VR Music Festival, which allows users to immerse themselves in their favorite music from Japanese games and virtual concert halls. Players can even sit next to their favorite game characters and enjoy a unique, interactive experience. The VR Music Festival will be available on PlayStation Plus starting September 20th, giving subscribers an early chance to explore this new form of entertainment.

While these innovations are exciting, it's still unclear how widely they will be adopted in Japan or whether they will receive broader support from both developers and consumers. However, Sony's continued investment in VR content suggests that the company sees a strong future for immersive experiences in gaming and beyond. As the TGS approaches, fans and industry professionals alike are eager to see what other surprises Sony has in store for this year's event.
