All five samples were tested in strict accordance with IEC 62776 (Safety Requirements for Double-Ended LED Lamps). The test report shows that all five samples use the lamp head according to IEC60061-1 and use the gauge inspection according to IEC60061-3 to ensure the interchangeability of the lamp cap.

In addition, from the data point of view, samples A, C, D have electrical connections at both ends of the lamp during the insertion process, do not meet the safety requirements of the pins during insertion, and therefore do not meet the IEC 62776 (double-ended LED lamp safety requirements) standards; Sample B satisfies no contact current even when the switch is turned to 'off'. However, the way of the extra switch does not meet the requirements of IEC 62776. In actual product installation and use, 100% safety cannot be guaranteed.

Philips lighting samples use pure single-ended wiring, and there is no electrical connection at both ends of the lamp during insertion, in accordance with IEC 62776.

4, installation

As we all know, the traditional fluorescent tube is replaced by an LED tube. It is not directly removed from the tube as we replace the traditional fluorescent tube. Then, the new LED tube is directly mounted on the bracket without any modification of the line. Such a transformation method not only fails to achieve the desired energy-saving effect, but also causes the LED tube to be damaged. In order to replace the traditional fluorescent tube with the LED tube, the relevant lines in the bracket must be adjusted and modified. Whether it is a double-ended LED or a single-ended LED, the circuit needs to be modified during installation.

However, some of the double-ended LEDs have an internal electrical connection between the two ends. When one end of the double-ended LED is inserted into the charged socket, the other suspended end is energized. In practical applications, since the installation user often cannot distinguish whether the lamp switch has cut off the power, when the double-ended LED lamp is inserted at one end, the other end of the pin can cause electric shock and additional damage to the human body due to possible electric shock of the installer.

Single-ended LED lights are safer than double-ended LEDs. The high-tech LED noticed that the Philips lighting samples were single-ended power-in type, and the samples A, C, and D used double-ended power input, and the risk of electric shock during installation was high.

Sample B uses a transition scheme with a double-ended wiring add-on switch. Sample B may have an electric shock when the switch is turned on, and no electric shock when the switch is turned off. In addition, for the sample B scheme, if the start switch is not set to the closed state when the lamp is installed, the LED lamp cannot be lit.

Therefore, sample B is a transitional solution, which not only does not comply with the IEC standard, but also causes user confusion. Philips lighting samples do not have this concern.
