ON Semiconductor Introduces World's First Extremely Expandable Next Generation Automotive Image Sensor Series

ON Semiconductor has introduced a new CMOS image sensor platform that takes the performance and image quality of automotive applications such as ADAS, mirror replacement, rear view and surround vision systems and autonomous driving to a new level. The HayabusaTM platform features a breakthrough 3.0 micron back-illuminated pixel design that delivers the industry's highest 100,000 electronic charge capacity. The HayabusaTM platform offers 120 dB Ultra High Dynamic Range (UHDR) and LED Flicker Removal (LFM) imaging, with 1 MP to 5 MP pixels to choose from, with other key automotive features such as simultaneous on-chip high dynamic range (HDR), LED flashing (LFM) and real-time functional safety and automotive-grade certification.

This high-charge-capacitance pixel design enables each image sensor in the Hayabusa range to provide super-exposure, providing 120-dB (dB) HDR and LFM high-fidelity images even in the most challenging scenes, without Will sacrifice the low light sensitivity.
