Taiwan's Hsinchu City responded to the government's call for energy conservation and carbon reduction, and will completely replace LED street lights. Zhou Zhihong, senior director of Delta Electronics, expressed his willingness to provide technical guidance to Hsinchu City.
Zhou Zhihong pointed out that Delta LED street lamps currently account for 15-20% of LED street lamps in Taiwan, which is the highest in the industry. The LED street light independently designed and developed by Delta has been affirmed by the Industrial Technology Research Institute. In 2009, it won the Shanghai Road Light Award for Excellent Design Award. Only five companies from the world won the award. Delta Electronics is also the only winner of Taiwanese manufacturers.
It is reported that there are 35,000 street lamps in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. At present, only 609 baht LED street lamps have been used. However, after testing, these LED street lamps can save NT$530,000 in electricity costs in one year.
