Drone technology has captured the imagination of many, but for us, practical application is what truly matters. Drones are now a common sight in our daily lives, mostly used for commercial purposes, yet their real impact remains distant and abstract. However, a major breakthrough has just taken place in China—Shenyang has officially launched the country's first dedicated drone airspace! Let’s take a closer look at this exciting development.

The rise of drones has not only fascinated hobbyists but also become a promising tool for e-commerce companies like JD.com. To support the growth of the UAV industry, the Shenyang General Aviation Industry Base has taken significant steps. They have expanded and optimized the entire industrial chain and recently opened the first dedicated drone airspace in China. This marks a major milestone in the country’s aviation development.
Liu Guoyin, Deputy Director of the Liaoning Faku Economic Development Zone, emphasized that with the national push for UAV infrastructure, Faku Navigation aims to leverage this opportunity by fostering the clustering of related enterprises. The establishment of the “General Aviation Port UAV Industrial Base†is considered one of the most advanced in the country.
Since its construction began in 2010, the Shenyang General Aviation Industry Base has grown significantly. Covering a planned area of 68 square kilometers, it has attracted nearly 20 commercial enterprises. Infrastructure such as runways, terminal buildings, hangars, and road networks are already in place. The base also offers open airspace below 3,000 meters, covering over 3,000 square kilometers. It is developing into a comprehensive center for UAV R&D, testing, production, and even a drone industrial park and an aviation new materials park.
According to reports, the base has been granted special scientific test airspace by relevant authorities. Since 2010, it has received recognition as part of the National Low-altitude Airspace Management Experimental Zone, the first batch of aviation flight camps, and the National General Aviation Integrated Demonstration Zone. This prestigious status highlights its role in shaping the future of unmanned aerial technology in China.
Refers to the forgings obtained by compressing and deforming a metal blank in a forging die bore with a certain shape. Die forging can be divided into Hot Forging, warm forging and cold forging. Warm forging and cold forging are the future development direction of die forging, and also represent the level of forging technology.
