Japanese company Ecorica significantly cuts prices of LED bulbs

Ecorica, which is engaged in LED lighting business in Japan, announced that it has significantly reduced the price of some LED lighting products since July 1, 2009.

There are three types of products for price reduction. All three types are available in white and light bulb products. The first is to reduce the diffused light-type LED light bulb "ECL-HPL40P30WH" (white) and "ECL-HPL40P30WWH" (light bulb color) from the current hypothetical tax-inclusive retail price of 7,200 yen to 3,780 yen. The product has a power consumption of 3.5W and a design life of 40,000 hours. Concentrated LED bulbs "ECL-HPL40WH" (white) and "ECL-HPL40WWH" (bulb color) are reduced to 3980 yen from the current tax-inclusive retail price of 7,200 yen. The product consumes 3.5W and has a design life of 40,000 hours. Diffusion-type LED light bulbs "ECL-ELBF60WH" (white) and "ECL-ELBF40WWH" (bulb color) with low power consumption are also reduced to 3,980 yen from the current tax-inclusive retail price of 7,200 yen. The LED bulb consumes 3W and has a design life of 40,000 hours.

The company intends to achieve the popularity and development of LED lighting through this price reduction. In addition, the company also plans to list commercial lamps such as seamless straight tube LEDs and downlights from July 2009.
