US CPSC Announces Recall of LED Night Lights Made in China

Recently, the Consumer Product Safety Commission of the United States and Corvest Acquisition Inc. (Currently Camsing Global LLC) announced a joint voluntary recall of LED night lights in China.

The recalled LED night light is 3.75 inches high and 1.75 inches wide. It contains flame-retardant parts, a white or blue LED light bulb and a transparent case, and the plug can be directly inserted into the socket. The words “Model SBD01”, “E314462” and “Made in China” are printed on the white plastic base behind the LED night light. The LED nightlights were donated to consumers in the form of promotions from December 2010 to March 2011 under the names of different companies.

The number of products recalled this time is about 10,000. The reason for the recall was that the LED night light would overheat, burn and melt, causing minor burns. Up to now, Corvest Acquisition has received 5 reports of overheating, smoking and melting of the LED night light, but no casualties.

To this end, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that consumers immediately stop using the LED night light and discard it.
