The Japanese government plans to apply for products such as LEDs in 29 fields as international standards

According to the report of Asahi Shimbun, Japan, in order to demonstrate the high quality of Japanese products and respond to the competition through low-priced products, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan plans to send products in 29 fields that Japan is best at, such as LED, antibacterial fiber, and home fuel cell. The organization submits an application to establish Japan's "international standard" in the next 2-3 years.

To this end, Japanese companies will strengthen cooperation with the United States, France, and other countries, establish a "unit brightness" measurement method for displaying energy-saving labels in the field of LED lighting, and submit proposals to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 2012. For domestic fuel cells, Japan will propose a bill to the International Electrical Standards Conference (IEC). Others including antibacterial fiber, solar cells, and regenerative medical related products will actively promote the application of international standards.
