Pericom's TCXO products offer excellent ±0.5 ppm frequency stability over the -40°C to +85°C industrial temperature range, supporting frequencies from a few MHz up to a maximum of 40MHz, covering virtually any application need . The power supply voltage can be selected from 1.8V to 3.3V. The new product line includes several frequency options that are available in both TCXO and Voltage Controlled Temperature-Compensated Crystal Oscillator (VCTCXO) versions, where the VCTCXO option is controlled by the voltage provided by an external processor.
For space-critical mobile platforms, Pericom's new TCXO/VCTCXO series supports both standard 3225 (3.2mm x 2.5mm) and miniaturized 2520 (2.5mm x 2.0mm) packages.
TCXO's annual shipments will reach 1.1 billion units in 2013, mainly due to the significant growth in GPS applications on smartphones. The 3225 and 2520 packages account for 80% of TCXO's total sales; by 2016, the 2520 package size will become the mainstream package size.
