Analysis of the status of major domestic OLED enterprises in 2011

The development of the OLED industry has received a lot of attention from the Chinese government. With the support of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, breakthroughs have been made in OLED R&D in the Chinese mainland. In October 2008, Visionox, which was established by Tsinghua University, successfully built the first large-scale OLED production line in mainland China in Kunshan, realizing the mass production of small-size O LED displays .

At present, mainland China mainly has Kunshan Visionox, Shanwei Xinli, Sichuan Hongshi, Foshan Rainbow and other enterprises engaged in small-size OLED production. China's first AMOLED pilot line has been completed and put into operation in Kunshan and opened up all production processes at the end of 2010. Shanghai Tianma and Foshan Rainbow are building a 4.5-generation AMOLED production line, which is expected to be mass-produced in 2011. BOE and Sichuan Hongshi are also in production. Actively carry out research and development of AMOLED projects. The AMOLED panel production line in mainland China has the 4.5th and 5.5th generation lines of BOE, the 4.5 generation line of Chengdu Hongshi, the 2.5 generation line of Tianma in the Yangtze River Delta, the 2.5 generation line and the 4.5 generation line of Visionox, and the 5.5 generation line of Xiamen Tianma. The two 4.5-generation lines of the Pearl River Delta Rainbow, the 2.5-generation line of color display, the 2.5-generation line of Xinli, etc., China's AMOLED industry is about to see the fruitful harvest.

1. Visionox: Independent innovation leads China's OLED industry

In October 2008, Visionox established the first large-scale production line of PMOLED in mainland China in Kunshan, relying on the technology researched by Tsinghua University, which enabled China's OLED industry to take shape. For more than ten years, Visionox has always adhered to independent innovation, from the development of technology to the development of industrialization, and became the first enterprise in China to fully master the production technology of PMOLED.

Global shipments ranked third

Since optimistic about the development prospects of the OLED industry, since 2002, Visionox has built the first PMOLED pilot production line in mainland China based on the technology researched by Tsinghua University. In 2009, Visionox established the first AMOLED pilot production line in mainland China. In 2010, the technology integration of LTPSTFT backplane and OLED was realized.

After less than two years of hard work, Visionox has become one of the world's leading PMOLED suppliers, and its products are exported to Europe, America, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. In 2010, Visionox's market share in mainland China reached 40%. In the first quarter of 2011, PMOLED shipments ranked third in the world.

At present, Visionox OLED mainly has two production lines in Beijing and Kunshan. The Beijing pilot line PMOLED can realize small batch production; Kunshan PMOLED can realize mass production of 10 million to 12 million pieces per year, with sales of 1.7 in 2010. 100 million yuan.

Building a high-generation AMOLED production line

The future development trend of the global OLED industry is based on the development of small-size PMOLED products, and the development of large-size AMOLED products.

Regarding how to develop large-size AMOLEDs, Wan Boquan, senior consultant of Beijing Visionox Technology Co., Ltd., said that as an emerging display technology and industry, the current industrial development of OLEDs must be technology-driven, and such industries are difficult to obtain through introduction. The most advanced and complete technology. In the development of small-size PMOLEDs, materials and device structures are the core technologies. Visionox has not taken the route of technology introduction for the first time in China's display field. In the development of large-size AMOLEDs, semiconductor technologies such as TFTs have become the decisive factor affecting product size amplification. Visionox will continue to innovate independently from research and development, pilot to industrialization.

Wan Boquan revealed that Visionox is currently planning the construction of a high-generation line, and will build an AMOLED production line that can produce more than 30 inches of TV products within five years. Visionox is fully developing LTPSTFT backplane technology. At the same time, Visionox is also committed to research and development of product technologies that improve performance and reduce costs.

2, Shenzhen Tianma: completed the debugging of the OLED pilot line

In August 2010, Shenzhen Tianma Microelectronics Co., Ltd. disclosed that its holding subsidiary Shanghai Tianma plans to invest in the construction of the 4.5-generation AMOLED pilot line with a total investment of 492 million yuan.
In February 2011, the Shanghai Tianma AMOLED pilot line project successfully lit the first color AMOLED product; in July, the company verified another AMOLED sample. At present, the equipment of Shanghai Tianma AMOLED project has been basically debugged.

At present, Tianma has completed the debugging of the OLED pilot line, and also produced a full-color AMOLED sample. However, the efficiency, reliability and longevity of the current products have to be further improved, and the device structure and process need to be further optimized. Shanghai Tianma AMOLED Project Director Xiang Chuanyi said in an interview with China Electronics News: "At present, Tianma's 4.5-generation pilot test line in Shanghai has begun to test the film. The main goal is to use the pilot line at 6-10. Solve the problems in the test line within the month, and then consider building the production line at the appropriate time."

At the 2011 Portable Product Innovation Technology Show, Tianma Microelectronics plans to invest RMB 7 billion in the construction of the 5.5-generation LTPS factory in Xiamen in the second half of the year after acquiring NEC LCD Co., Ltd., aiming to provide AMOLED small and medium size display for portable electronic products. Screen.

3. BOE: plans to invest 22 billion yuan to build a 5.5-generation AM-OLED production line

In May 2011, during the “2011 Shenzhen Photoelectric Display Week and Shenzhen Color TV Festival”, BOE officially released the AM-OLED development plan and actively deployed new display technologies.

According to reports, relying on Chengdu's 4.5th generation TFT-LCD production line, BOE has begun the AM-OLED production line transformation, and actively promoted the layout of the AM-OLED high-generation line. It is expected that BOE will be able to launch LTPS (Low Temperature Polysilicon) display panels for mobile terminals such as mobile phones during the year; in the next three to five years, information such as IT and TV, and AM-OLED display panels for video terminals will be launched.

Wang Gang, director of future display technology research and development of BOE, said that BOE will actively promote the independent R&D capability and industrialization of new display technologies such as AM-OLED in China based on the core technology of TFT-LCD.

In August 2011, BOE plans to build a 5.5-generation AM-OLED production line in Ordos. The total planned investment of the project is 22 billion yuan, and the size of the glass substrate is 1300mm×1500mm, including four processes of array, color film, box and module. The project is a major investment project and must be approved by the board of directors, the general meeting of shareholders and relevant authorities. There are still major uncertainties and it is currently in the process of approval by the competent authorities. As the leading enterprise in the field of flat panel display in China, BOE has rich technical reserves. At present, the key to mastering AM-OLED is technology LTPS, which has been successfully mass-produced in Chengdu 4.5 generation line.

Road Traffic Signs are graphical symbols that display traffic regulations and road information. They can make traffic regulations visually, concisely and concisely expressed. At the same time, they also express the content that is difficult to describe in words. They are used to manage traffic and indicate the direction of driving to ensure the smooth flow of roads and the safety of driving. Applicable to highways, urban roads and all special highways, with the nature of the law, vehicles, pedestrians must comply with.
